As always it was a pleasure. That is a nice electric bike. It couldn't be more green.

I believe you bought it as scrap for $10? Recycling in it's purest form in more ways than one.......

They were always a good bike. Better now for being an electric bike......

So it is green in color. It is green because it is electric and uses a quarter of a kilowatt for 20km. That is 12.5 watts per km. Probably use more eating. It is also made with waste materials. Uber-cool.

I can't wait to ride it.

It is a really good idea to change that front tyre too. If you go into a corner and you lose tyre pressure it is very dangerous. Don't ask me how I know......

Whilst you should always be careful of tyre wear on any bike, it is ESPECIALLY important on an electric bike due to the higher speed. ALWAYS replace them before they are worn.

That front tyre is in the bin! It took some work with the grinder to get clearance for the rear wheel, and the throttle had to be modified to fit the handlebars (old racing bend in fat alloy), but it's a goer now. Looking forward to tomorrow. Would have ridden tonight if it wasn't pissing down. Thanks for your help Morg! And didn't we make that car eat dust in the commuting challenge today!

Cheers bloke

They are beautifully crafted. It was a handcycle version in the photo. The steering is very clever and the quality is extremely high.
